Election Mobilizer Job Description
Are you good at motivating your friends to take action?! Do you want to see more Kansans participating in voting?
Kansas Interfaith Action is looking for community members to join our voter power movement who will encourage their Kansas friends and family to vote in the August 4th, 2026 primary election. We’re paying $500 for six weeks of work starting June 23rd – August 14th, 2026.
Hired mobilizers are encouraged to also participate in the second round of the paid relational mobilizer program for the general election, the completion of which would pay an additional $500.
You can also qualify for referral bonuses by sharing this job opportunity with your friends and family - you’ll earn $25 extra for each referral who completes the program. Make sure your referrals credit you by name on their offer letter form!
Note: Voter contacts cannot be shared between participants. If two participants know the same person, that person can only appear on one participant's list.
We are considering applicants who are:
Willing to build a list of at least 50 infrequent voters in your network and reach out to each contact to share election information and support through the voting process.
Currently living in Hutchinson, Manhattan, Salina, Newton, or Emporia Kansas, or are well connected to Kansas voters, preferably young Kansans from underrepresented communities.
Detail-oriented and enthusiastic.
Comfortable working in a nonpartisan space.
Available for:
Training and orientation call(s) the week of June 23rd
1 hr weekly group check-in Zoom meetings every Monday 6-7 PM June 29th – August 3rd
Weekly 1-to-1 check-ins for 5 weeks with your Team Captain
1 hr Debrief call after the August election
Approximately 5-7 hours of work each week connecting with at least 50 Kansas voters in your network about voting in the upcoming election.
Must have regular access to a computer, tablet or smartphone and internet to participate in Zoom meetings and create an account on our online relational organizing platform.
You don’t need to be an election expert to participate - we’ll provide you with nonpartisan training and resources. You just need to be willing to start the conversation!
If interested, sign up here for a time to interview on Zoom!
* Mobilizers will be paid via direct deposit after the August 4th election. Anyone who participates in both elections or otherwise makes $600+ through these programs will need to submit a W9.
